My Calico Critters!

This is a page all about my Calico Critters collection!
I started collecting Calico Critters in the fall of 2020. I am a picky collector, and one with not too much disposable income, so I have been building my collection methodically through sales, discount stores, and secondhand shopping... AKA Ebay! :) My favorite Calico Critters are the cats and rabbits! Additionally, I also hope to one day purchase the House of Breeze Hill house. It was only released in Japan, but the layout is both beautiful and simple. It's my dream home to store my critters!

What are Calico Critters?

The animal figures are unique because they are made of a special flocked material that gives them an endearing quality. They were introduced in Japan in 1985 and are distributed worldwide. Calico Critters are sold as families, with Mothers and Fathers, sisters, brothers and babies. The homes and furniture are quite life-like are have incredible detail. The Critters live in the community of Calico Village. All the citizens in Calico Village have hobbies and jobs. The underlying theme is giving, friendship and happiness. Calico Critters are wholesome, never trendy.
